Thank you for choosing to shop with Brown’s Hobby & Game. This Shipping Policy outlines important information regarding the handling and shipping of your orders. By placing an order with us, you agree to the terms of this policy.

PLEASE NOTE:
To help reduce waste and support sustainability, we ship larger items such as scooters and trikes in their original packaging whenever possible. If you would like your item double-packed, simply email us and we’ll be happy to arrange it.

Free Shipping to Remote Locations in Canada:
Free shipping is not available for remote locations classified by Canada Post as Remote Locations. Please see Section 4 below for more information and the list of affected postal codes. If our system mistakenly applies free shipping to a remote location, we will contact you to collect the applicable Canada Post standard shipping fee. We reserve the right to cancel any order shipping to a remote location.

Delivery Times to Remote Locations in Canada:

1. Order Handling Time:
We strive to process and ship orders as quickly as possible. Most orders are processed and shipped within 1–2 business days. Please note that processing times may be longer during peak seasons and holidays.

2. North American Shipping Carriers and Services:
For shipments within Canada, we primarily use Canada Post (Expedited Parcel or Regular Parcel) and Canpar Express (Canpar Ground or Canpar Select). All domestic services include tracking.

For shipments to the contiguous United States, we primarily use Canada Post (Expedited Parcel USA or Tracked Packet USA) and Canpar Express (Canpar US Ground). All services include tracking.

For shipments to the non-contiguous United States (Alaska and Hawaii), we use Canada Post (Expedited Parcel USA or Tracked Packet USA). All services include tracking.

We may use an alternate carrier or service if it allows us to fulfill your order in a more timely, efficient, and cost-effective manner.

3. Order Tracking:
Once your order ships, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number and link. You can track your package using the provided tracking number on the carrier’s website.

4. Shipping Costs:
Shipping costs are calculated based on carrier, shipping method, destination, package size, and weight. The exact cost is displayed at checkout before you confirm your order.

Free shipping applies to most orders over $249.99 within Canada and most orders over $499.99 to the United States (some restrictions apply). Shipping charges will apply to orders under these thresholds, or if the order contains heavy/oversized items or is shipping to a remote location.

5. Delivery Time:
Estimated delivery times depend on the shipping method, destination, and carrier. While we make every effort to ship quickly, we cannot guarantee exact delivery dates. Delivery times are estimates provided by the carrier and are subject to their terms. The estimated date and time of delivery is displayed on the tracking page of the carrier’s website. Please use the tracking number of your order to view delivery progress and the estimated date and time of delivery.

Delivery times may be affected by extreme weather, mechanical issues, labour disruptions, customs delays, natural disasters, or other unforeseen events.

Canada (business days = Monday to Friday, excluding federal holidays):

• Canada Post Expedited Parcel: 2–10 business days
• Canada Post Regular Parcel: 4–12 business days

United States (contiguous – business days = Monday to Friday, excluding federal holidays):

• Canada Post Expedited Parcel USA: 3–14 business days
• Canada Post Tracked Packet USA: 4–14 business days

Shipping to remote locations in Canada or the United States may take significantly longer and may incur additional charges.

6. Import Duties, Taxes, and Fees (United States):
Effective August 29, 2025, the United States suspended the duty-free “de minimis” threshold of US$800 for all countries, including Canada. Shipments to the U.S. may now be subject to import duties, taxes, and fees imposed by U.S. Customs. The customer/recipient is fully responsible for these charges. These fees are determined by U.S. Customs and collected by U.S. Customs or the carrier upon arrival at the border, or upon delivery in the U.S. We cannot predict or include these fees in the purchase price.

If the customer/recipient refuses to pay any import duties, taxes, or fees, the order may be considered abandoned and will not be eligible for a refund.

Please note if the customer/recipient refuses to pay the import duties, taxes, or fees, they will not be eligible for a refund due to order abandonment or the costs we incur associated to retrieve the shipped items.

 

7. Shipping Destinations:
We currently ship to addresses within Canada and the United States. Please ensure your shipping address is accurate and complete at checkout. We are not responsible for delays or issues caused by incorrect or incomplete addresses.

 

8. International Shipments:
We do not currently ship outside of North America. We plan to expand to select countries in Europe, Asia, and Oceania in the future, but we do not have a specific timeline. For any future international orders, customs duties, taxes, and fees may apply and are the responsibility of the recipient.

 

9. Item Handling at Delivery:
Carriers are not responsible for carrying items inside your home. Delivery includes bringing the item to the main entrance or garage. For heavy or large items, we recommend having someone available to help move the item. In apartment buildings, delivery may be left at the main door or with the concierge if available.

 

10. Cancellations by Us:
We may occasionally cancel an order or part of an order for the following reasons:

• Item(s) are out of stock
• Ineligible use of a discount code
• Remote location shipping fee issues
• Payment information could not be verified
• Shipping address could not be verified
• Item(s) are not permitted for sale in your province, state, or country

If your order is cancelled, you will receive an email notification. No charges will be made, and any payment already processed will be fully refunded.

 

11. Lost or Damaged Packages:
In the rare event that your package is lost or damaged during transit, please contact us as soon as possible. We will work with the carrier to resolve the issue and provide a satisfactory solution.
